They're calling it the "age of austerity": despite increasing profits and wealth, governments say there is not enough money to pay for services. Instead, we are told, we must tighten our belts and sacrifice the common good in innumerable ways to keep corporate profits growing.

At Smart Change, we're getting ready to launch a campaign that exposes the austerity agenda as unnecessary and damaging, while proposing straightforward alternatives.
